Our name and our areas of expertise come from the first thank you letter we ever received.

In the wake of the Great Resignation, we were building our business working with professionals who needed to rebuild their businesses and careers. At the time, there was just one coach, Andrea Pagnozzi, CPC, ELI-MP, who spent 25 years in healthcare leadership, sales, marketing, training, and executive coaching.

While helping a successful career executive pivot to a completely different profession after 21 years, she received a thank you email that read: “During our last session, you asked me to describe what it was about your coaching that sets you apart. Empowerment! I have worked with many business and leadership coaches, but none motivated me to succeed like a partner would until now. The energy you brought to each session rejuvenated me and it lit a spark in me that was doused a long time ago. You not only helped me find my next best career, you found my light and my purpose." When we thought about what could represent that spark, we immediately thought of a flint, used in camping or to light stoves. Iron on steel, lighting a flame, and our name was born!

That kind letter inspired our two-pronged approach to career empowerment: supporting the individuals whose careers need a boost, and the leaders who hire them to retain their enthusiasm.
